Le Thi Ha, from Ha Dong, Hanoi, was once an outstanding student at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Hanoi University of Foreign Studies. After graduation, she became a passionate English teacher with a dream to excel in education. She married and enjoyed a happy life with her husband and their seven-month-old son.
However, tragedy struck in 2003 when a serious car accident left her paralyzed from the waist down and with partial use of her left hand. Her dreams seemed to be shattered overnight.
The early days after the accident were filled with immense trials and challenges. From being an active and independent woman, Ha had to adapt to a life confined to a wheelchair. Refusing to surrender to her fate, she worked tirelessly to rebuild her life. The unwavering support of her family and friends became her greatest source of strength during this period.
A pivotal moment came in 2012, when Ha met Cao Thi Nga at a flower festival in Hanoi. Both joined a gardening group, and their shared experiences blossomed into a deep friendship. Nga’s encouragement helped Ha rediscover joy and inspired her to explore her creative potential through writing and entering literary competitions.
In 2019, driven by a desire to help others facing similar struggles, Ha joined Vun Art, a cooperative that supports people with disabilities through art made from recycled fabric. At Vun Art, she not only contributed to job creation but also empowered members to confidently integrate into society. Celebrated for their artistic quality and meaningful messages of perseverance, the cooperative's products reflect Ha’s journey of overcoming adversity.
As the head of online marketing, Ha has expanded Vun Art’s reach to customers both domestically and internationally. Through her efforts, many people with disabilities have secured stable employment and discovered their value in society.
In addition to her work at Vun Art, Ha also teaches evening English classes for children, hoping to equip them with skills and knowledge that will open doors to a brighter future.
In “Station of Love” , viewers will hear Ha share her journey of overcoming pain, restoring hope, and giving back to the community. The program will also highlight her enduring friendship with Cao Thi Nga, showcasing the transformative power of companionship during life’s most challenging moments.
In one memorable scene, Ha is surrounded by baskets of fabric scraps, creating a vibrant piece of art. This scene not only illustrates her skill and dedication but also symbolizes her rise from hardship. The recycled scraps, transformed into meaningful works of art, convey a powerful message: “Nothing is worthless. Even in hardship, beauty can be created”.
The program will also reveal special gifts prepared for Ha in honor of her indomitable spirit and extraordinary determination. By sharing her story, the producers hope to inspire others to find light even in the darkest of times.
