A New Look for the “Kindness Bus Journey”
As we enter the year 2025, the “Kindness Bus Journey”, part of VTV’s “Kind Deeds” Program, marks a new chapter in its mission to crisscross Vietnamand bring meaningful, community-focused activities to life. The bus, now sporting a revamped design, will support charitable groups in projects like building recycled playgrounds and libraries for children in remote areas, constructing bridges and homes for disadvantaged communities, organizing Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival events for the elderly and orphaned children, and providing medical supplies for those in need.
From the THACO Chu Lai Industrial Complex in Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province, this special vehicle traveled nearly 900 kilometers to Hanoi, ready to embark on its noble mission of spreading joy and hope, particularly to society’s most vulnerable.

The purpose -built bus has features such as electrical systems, lighting, air conditioning, storage cabinets, oxygen tanks, tables, chairs, and sunshades. These additions transform the bus into a multi-functional space – a productive workspace, a special gift shop for those in need, or even a mobile kitchen serving meals to hard-working laborers.
Transforming the bus into a convenient mobile store.
At the touch of a button, the bus "unfurls its wings" to resemble the iconic crane – a symbol of the program – delivering physical gifts and emotional support to those in need.
“We were pleasantly surprised to receive this gift from THACO. This charming and multifunctional companion will undoubtedly stay by our side to reach countless places and help many people”, said Ba Thang, a producer of the “Kindness Bus Journey”.
Spreading love on the “Kindness Bus Journey”
Unlike previous years, which focused on one charitable activity per month, the “Kindness Bus Journey” in 2025 will conduct 156 missions across the country, implementing a wide array of community-focused initiatives.
The first journey of 2025 took the bus to Hanoi to visit the Children’s Cultural Club for Disabled Youth, run by 83-year-old Phan Thi Phuc, affectionately known as “Happy Mother” to her students. Founded in 1995, the club offers a safe space for children with disabilities such as hearing and speech impairments, limb deformities, paralysis, and intellectual challenges to socialize and find joy.
The “Kindness Bus” organized a surprise birthday party for the children born in January, with heartfelt wishes, candle-blowing, and cake-cutting in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Witnessing the children’s radiant smiles, Ms. Phuc was deeply moved. To support the club, the “Kindness Bus” donated a new loudspeaker to replace the old one that had been in use for 30 years but not working properly, affecting the children’s learning experience.

After its stop at the “Happy Mother” classroom, the “Kindness Bus Journey” will continue its travels, sowing seeds of compassion and goodwill across the nation.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary on VTV1, the “Kind Deeds” Program is entering a new phase. In addition to showcasing inspiring acts and role models, the program now aims to work hand-in-hand with individuals to create positive change through the “Kindness Bus Journey”. This project is designed to connect and expand charitable networks across the country to help those in need through hands-on initiatives.
