The third Dien Hong Awards - 2025, organized by the Office of the National Assembly in collaboration with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Hanoi People’s Council, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Vietnam Television, coincided with the 79th anniversary of the first general election in Vietnam (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2025).
Some 4,079 entries were submitted from 163 central and local media outlets, showcasing the awards’ strong appeal to the journalism community and the public nationwide.
A prestigious panel of experienced and respected journalists selected 83 outstanding works for recognition, including 8 A-category prizes, 15 B-category prizes, 20 C-category prizes, and 40 consolation prizes.
Vietnam Television (VTV) won the A-category prize for "High-Speed Rail - The Responsibility of the National Assembly", produced by a team of journalists: Nguyen Phuong Mai, Vu Dinh Chung, Pham Ngoc Thanh, Phi Thi Thu Tra, Dinh Quang Hanh, Pham Minh Hang, Truong Quoc Trung, Phan Dinh Hung, Vu Duc Thuan, Le Quang Lam, Nguyen Phi Hung, Nguyen Thanh Hoang, and Vu Thanh Tuyen.

In addition, the organizing committee awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the National Assembly Office to 20 organizations for their outstanding contributions to the success of the Third Dien Hong Awards.
In his keynote speech at the award ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Trân Thanh Man expressed his confidence that journalists would continue demonstrating their passion for the profession with integrity, sharp writing, and perseverance. He encouraged them to follow the work of the National Assembly and report its activities, including legislative work, supreme oversight, and decision-making on critical national issues, in a timely manner. He also called on journalists to identify shortcomings and obstacles in lawmaking and law enforcement, as well as pressing issues faced by citizens and businesses, and to reflect these concerns in their reporting. This would enable timely solutions and interventionsand help the National Assembly and People’s Councils operate with increasing effectiveness and efficiency, earning the trust of voters and the people nationwide, Man said.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh announced the launch of the Fourth Dien Hong Awards 2026 under the theme “80 Years of Vietnam’s National Assembly.” The next awards ceremony is scheduled for early January 2026, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s first general election.
