The official certification was granted by SKYTRAX at the World Airline Awards event at Farnborough International Airshow 2016 in London on Tuesday. Last year, Vietnam Airlines made dramatic changes with a 4-star service upgrade, beginning with a major replacement of its old wide-body aircraft fleet by new-generation jetliners Airbus A350-900 XWB and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Meanwhile, the airline also focused on training and ensuring both quantity and quality of pilots, cabin crews and technicians.
