The international community have continued to report on the ruling of the International Court of Arbitration over the recent East Sea dispute case, involving 9 dashed line and the enforcement and explanations of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said that it is vital that all countries abide by international law, settle disputes peacefully, and in the context of this particular dispute that has been the subject of the decision, that both countries abide by the decision of the tribunal. The tribunal ruling was an important test case for how the region can manage disputes peacefully.
