In Mỹ Tài Commune, 60 hectares of rice and other plants died because of water shortages. Although people here have tried to dig more wells to find water, the wells have run empty.
Meanwhile the reservoir in Phu My district has dried up.

71 of the province’s reservoirs have dried up. This also means that there are not enough water for rice and crops here. The provincial authorities are working on ways to irrigate more effectively, which focus on some crops instead of irrigating all the fields.
