All the old and unsafe booths in Đồng Đăng Market have being replaced by a large park, which will serve as the new architectural highlight in the centre of Đồng Đăng Town. Traders in the old market will be relocated to the new and modern Đồng Đăng Shopping Centre. This is just one of the many projects that Vietnamese from the Czech Republic are investing into Vietnam.

With the support from the local authorities and the determination of the Czech Vietnamese businesses over the past two years, the new shopping centre will open in July. The centre covers an area of over 57 thousand square metres and cost nearly US$14 million.

The contribution of overseas Vietnamese is important to the social and economic development of the province. Therefore, along with implementing favourable policies for overseas Vietnamese, the local authorities will speed up the improvement in the investment environment and infrastructure to attract more investment from Vietnamese living abroad.
