VTV.vn - Russian military have deployed Bastion coastal defence systems at Kotelny Island in Laptev Sea in the Arctic Ocean.

A video released by the country's defence ministry on Wednesday showed multiple launches of supersonic anti-ship Oniks missiles. The ministry said the launches were a part of tactical drills by North Navy Fleet at Russia's Arctic islands.

Russia has earlier deployed Rubezh coastal defence systems at Kotelny island. The Bastion launcher can carry two Onyx anti-ship missiles, which can engage targets at a range up to 300km with a high-low trajectory, or 120km with a low-low flight trajectory.
