The programme is scheduled to be held in the two central coastal cities of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh province) and Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province).
This is the third time the RoK Embassy, in collaboration with the RoK Cultural Centre in Vietnam (KCCV), have brought the RoK’s culture closer to Vietnamese people, following the success of the 2014 and 2015 tours.
This year’s programme will feature the participation of numerous well-known artists from the RoK including singer Kim Yeonjin, K-pop band Peungdeng and percussion band Pangut Jin Myung.
RoK music lovers will have a chance to enjoy a variety of performances in different genres, from traditional to contemporary music, showcasing the beauty of Korean culture and arts.
Notably, in addition to RoK music, this year’s programme will also introduce melodies imbued with special cultural identities of Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa provinces, such as performances of Tay Son war-drums and national traditional musical instruments.
Director of the KCCV Lee Dae Joong said that the programme is expected to feature the cultural identities of Vietnam and the RoK. He expressed his hope that it will contribute to tightening bilateral cultural exchanges between the two countries.
