The champion of this Robocon is LH- ATM. Team LH- ATM defeated its competitor LH-GALAXY to finish its session in 22 seconds. LH- Galaxy and LH- ATM are two teams from Lac Hong University.
Both teams will represent Vietnam to participate in ABU Robocon 2018 taking place in August in Ninh Binh province.
This year, the concept of the contest is "Throwing còn," which is inspired by a Vietnamese folk game. "Throwing còn" is popular among Vietnamese northern ethnic people during festivals.
The object of the game is to throw a ball made of cloth through a ring on top of a 15-20m tall bamboo pole.
The contest is livestreamed and gets about 100,000 views each night, along with nearly 2,000 comments and 500 shares. These numbers show that Robocon is popular among young people and audiences.
