500 artisans from 14 provinces performed Then singing, accompanied by Tinh lutes, at the festival. These performances were deeply imbued with participants' ethnic identities.
The festival combines diverse Then melodies, dancing and music from different ethnic regions. In addition, there were also re-enactments involving traditional Then rituals and Then singing, as well as tours of local landscapes held at the event. In 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted a dossier to UNESCO to seek recognition for the practice of Then singing as an intangible cultural heritage.
