The first week of March in the second quarter of the 25th season of Road to Olympia Mount featured fierce competition among four contestants: Nguyen Hoang Minh Chau (Cau Giay High School, Hanoi), Nguyen Minh Nhat (A Kim Bang High School, Ha Nam), Huynh Nguyen Anh Phuong (Ly Tu Trong Specialized High School, Can Tho), and Cao Duc Lam (Don Duong High School, Lam Dong).
In the first Individual Warm-up round, the contestants were divided into two groups. Minh Chau and Anh Phuong led with 40 points, while Minh Nhat and Duc Lam both earned 20 points.
After the General Warm-up round, the scoring race became intense with clear differences. Duc Lam scored 15 points, Minh Nhat followed closely with 20 points, and Minh Chau moved ahead with 35 points. Meanwhile, Anh Phuong made a strong breakthrough, taking the lead with 90 points, creating a significant gap from the competitors.
The competition escalated in the Overcome Obstacle round with an 11-letter keyword. Minh Chau was the first to choose and correctly solve the second row with the word "Tay" (West), allowing Anh Phuong and Duc Lam to gain points. After Minh Nhat selected the third row of seven letters, all four contestants quickly identified the correct answer, "Phu Quoc", revealing another clue image. Anh Phuong then chose the first row containing a single digit, but Minh Nhat was the one who correctly answered: "4". Immediately after, Minh Nhat decisively rang the bell and provided the final answer for the round: "Vinh Thai Lan" (Gulf of Thailand).
Thanks to outstanding performances, the leaderboard shifted again. Duc Lam reached 35 points, Minh Chau climbed to 55 points, Minh Nhat moved up to second place with 80 points, while Anh Phuong maintained her lead with 110 points.
The Speed-up round proved to be a turning point in the competition. In the first question, Minh Chau was the only contestant to answer correctly, narrowing the gap with the leading group. In the second question, all four contestants scored points, making the race even more intense. In the third question, Minh Chau once again stood out as the only one with the correct answer, putting her in the lead. However, the tension didn't stop there. In the final question, both Anh Phuong and Duc Lam scored, causing another shake-up in the standings.
By the end of the Speed-up round, the scoreboard had shifted significantly. Duc Lam accumulated 75 points, Minh Nhat reached 100 points, Minh Chau jumped to 165 points, and Anh Phuong still held the lead with 190 points.
In the Finish round, all four contestants were determined to improve their scores. Anh Phuong, the current leader, was the first to go. She answered two questions correctlyto take the lead with 230 points. Next up was Minh Chau, who chose the 20-20-20 question set but, unfortunately, failed to score any points. This allowed Duc Lam to score, leaving Minh Chau with 145 points at the end of her round. Minh Nhat selected the 20-30-20 set but also failed to provide correct answers, leaving his score at 100 points. Finally, it was Duc Lam’s turn, and he chose the 20-30-20 question set in an attempt to move up in the rankings. On the first question, Anh Phuong rang the bell but answered incorrectly. However, the Can Tho contestant quickly recovered and successfully answered the second questionto increase her score. For the final question, Duc Lam placed his hopes on the Star of Hope and delivered the correct answer, raising his total score to 95.
At the end of the first weekly competition of March, the second quarter of 2025, Anh Phuong won the championship wreath with 250 points. Minh Chau secured second place with 145 points, Minh Nhat took third place with 100 points, and Duc Lam finished fourth with 95 points.
