According to the General Department of Taxation, although tax revenue in the first 6 months increased 6.3% on-year, but reached 48.6% of the target. In particular, while revenues from the non-state sector and land use saw significant increases, revenues from state-owned enterprises only reached 40.3%, much lower than the same period last year. The results were blamed on the impact of decreasing oil and gas prices, as well as lower income from dividends and profits. To reach the state budgetrevenue target, the tax agency are trying to promote favourable conditions for firms to develop their business activities.
