Thanks to the rain, 1,100 hectares of rice in Hung Nguyen district have been saved. In Nghi Loc district, 5,500 hectares of rice have recovered. Rain is predicted to continue in the coming days in Nghe An. The local irrigation system is being improved to ensure enough water supply for the local farmers. Farmers are also encouraged to use water economically and preserve water to prepare for droughts in the future. The recent drought has destroyed 400 ha of rice in Nghe An province.
