The Tràng An festival was formerly known as the Saint Quý Minh Đại Vương festival – a unique folk festival that takes place on June 17, or the 18th of March in the lunar calendar. The festival hosts many unique cultural and spiritual activities, all held around the blue valley waters, magical caves and majestic mountains. This traditional festival contributes towards the preservation and promotion of the cultural values of Tràng An.
The Tràng An festival will include many important ceremonies, such as the water procession ceremony, dragon dance and release ceremony. All will be performed on the river. The procession will see the participation of hundreds of boats, going through the large and small caves on the Sao Khe River to the sacred Nội Lâm Temple for the ceremony. Respect the cultural and historical value the locals contribute to honoring the beauty of the Tràng An World Heritage of Vietnam.
