The program The Historical Path - An artistic and political commentary program to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th Anniversary of the All-People’s National Defense Festival was held on the evening of December 21 at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi. This special artistic journey, titled The Historical Path, takes viewers back in time to relive the nation's heroic moments and the glorious traditions of the Vietnam People's Army throughout its 80-year history of development and growth.
The nearly twohour program took place on a grand, meticulously designed stage at the Vietnam Military History Museum. It combined short documentaries, reenactments, interviews, musical performances, and 3D mapping displays to vividly depict the heroic history of the Vietnam People's Army. In doing so, the program reaffirmed the army's steadfast willpower, courage, and unwavering loyalty to the nation and its people.

The military band opens the program with the melody of For the People We Sacrifice.
The synchronized performance of thousands of soldiers from different military corps.
Two anchors, Hong Nhung, and Duc Bao, host the program The Historical Path.
The musical drama “Victory in the First Battle” recreates the Vietnam People's Army's inaugural victories at Phay Khat and Na Ngan.
A theatrical performance of “Where the Enemy Exists, We Go” captivates the audience with a reenactment featuring 80 bicycles, symbolizing the historic supply lines to Dien Bien Phu.
The show also includes a reenactment of the true story of a wedding held atop the De Castries bunker.
People’s Artist Ta Minh Tam performs the moving hymn We March Into Battle Today, accompanied by hundreds of soldiers, vividly portraying the march to the frontlines.
Various military equipment is displayed on stage, adding authenticity to The Historical Path.
The tableau “A Nation Yet to Rejoice” touches the hearts by highlighting the bittersweet reality of victory. While the nation celebrated, many fathers and sons never returned to their families. Yet their sacrifices were instrumental in the triumph of the entire nation.
In times of peace, Uncle Ho’s Soldiers continue to stand by the people, assisting with production, and risking their lives to protect lives and property during disasters.
A notable moment is the presence of 40 Border Guard military dogs , honored for their outstanding rescue and international mission work, including operations in Turkey and recent flood and storm rescue efforts in Vietnam.

The program also features artwork from the “We Love Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” drawing competition, organized by Vietnam Television in collaboration with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Central Council of Young Pioneers.
