Prime Minister to attend COP21 climate conference in Paris

VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung this morning led the Vietnamese delegation to attend the 21st convention of the United Nations on Climate Change (COP21) in Paris, at the invitation of French President Francois Hollande.

Joining the delegation are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, as well as representatives from other ministries. COP21 is one of the largest global conferences occurring in 2015. It is expected to draw the participation of over 40,000 delegates from all over the world.

Vietnam’s delegation at COP21 will show the strong commitment of the Government of Vietnam to collaborate with the international community in order to deal with climate change. The country will also promote and strengthen cooperation with other countries and international organisations working to respond to climate change in Vietnam.

After the conference, PM Dung will also pay working visits to Belgium and the EU on December 2nd./.
