At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested that Goldman Sachs continues to invest in infrastructure, agriculture, response to climate change and other sectors of Vietnam. He said that the government would not limit or restrict any investments from foreign firms.
According to head of Goldman Sachs’ Asia division Andrea Vela, the firm has been calling for the investments of 250 million US dollars in highways and 150 million US dollars in hydropower projects in Vietnam.
