The historic drought, which occurred during the first 9 months of the year, caused severe damage to thousands of hectares of crops in the mountainous districts.
Nearly 12,000 households suffered from water shortages. To cope with the situation, the province will be focusing on building daily water tanks in regions that are dry for a long period of time in order to prevent water shortages.
