VTV.vn - A photo exhibition entitled "Vietnam – an eternal attraction" opened in Mexico City, Mexico on September 12 to introduce the wonderful charm of the Vietnamese land and people to Mexicans and international friends.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico, Nguyen Hoai Duong expressed his hope that the event would provide Mexican people with a deeper understanding of Vietnam, thus contributing to boosting solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

As many as 30 photos on display featured the natural landscape and daily life in Vietnam as well as the country’s achievements in its Doi Moi (Renewal) and development process.

For his part, José Alfonso Suárez del Real and Aguilera, Secretary of Culture of Mexico City, stressed that Vietnam is the first country to be invited by the city’s authorities to join the "Paseo de las Culturas Amigas" (A Walk to Friends’ Cultures) Initiative, which aims to introduce diverse cultures of countries around the world to Mexican people.

“This is a wonderful photo exhibition about Vietnam,” said Verónica, a visitor to the event. She hailed that by featuring culture, nature and cuisine, the exhibition brings Vietnam closer to the viewers and helps her and her friends understand more about the Southeast Asian country.

The event, which runs until September 30 in the Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, is expected to attract millions of city residents.
