Due to the influence of a hot low-pressure in the west, northeastern and central provinces will suffer hot weather with highest temperatures from 34-37C with some places to reach over 37C.
The hot temperatures of over 35C will last from 12-16 hours per day while the humidity will be low at about 50-65%.
The heat wave will expand to northwestern provinces and is expected to conclude on September 6 while hot weather will continue to prolong in central provinces.
The UV index in Hanoi and Da Nang is forecast 7-9 on August 31, meaning a high risk of harm to the human body if exposed directly to the sunlight.
