This is the second morning Vietnam has seen no new coronavirus cases reported for the past three days.
The country's latest date indicates 245 infections nationwide after four new cases were confirmed on April 6 afternoon. Of the total of 245 patients registered, 153 entered Vietnam from pandemic-hit countries such as the US, Germany, France, the UK and several Asian countries.
92 people were secondary infections, of whom 62 were from domestic outbreaks. According to the Ministry of Health, 95 patients have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital. The remaining 150 patients are being treated at 21 healthcare facilities across the country.
There are still three severe cases, relying on ventilators and dialysis. A further 62 patients have tested negative for the deadly virus, and another 18 patients are expected to be released from hospital on April 7 after making a full recovery.
