In addition to displaying books and publications, the fair also included a seminar on the trend of developing reading culture in the digital era.
The organising board also called on individuals and organisations to donate books for libraries in mountainous areas and sea and island regions.
The event is taking place from August 5 to 8 at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Centre in Ha Long City and then from August 10 to 13 at the 25/2 Square in Uong Bi City.
Themed ‘Aspiration to build an exemplary, prosperous, beautiful and modern Quang Ninh Province’, the fair is among a series of cultural activities hosted by the provincial Culture and Sports to celebrate the province’s 60th founding anniversary.
It aims to provide a cultural venue for book lovers and promote reading habits in the society while fostering experience exchanges and coordination among local publishing houses.
