A traditional boat race was held on Sai Gon river
The race gathered rowers from across Ho Chi Minh City as well as from Da Nang City and the provinces of An Giang, Binh Thuan, Nghe An, Quang Binh, and Dong Nai.
The rowers were divided into two groups.
Group A for competitors from Thu Duc City and districts of Ho Chi Minh City.
Group B for contestants from armed forces, social organisations, and businesses.

The three-day river festival features a series of tourism, entertainment, culture, and sports events, aiming to preserve and promote Ho Chi Minh City’s culture and history and make use of its waterways to boost the economy and tourism.
