The important topic attracted the attention of many deputies and citizens, and caused the National Assembly to extend its discussion to 6:30 pm for the first time.
Agriculture was among the most notable topics discussed. According to deputies, the instability of agro products prices due to harvests is evidence of limitations in the sector's development. The recent situation in the sales of watermelons, bananas, tomatoes and pork caused great losses to farmers. Deputies said that it is time to foster agricultural restructuring, with regards to high tech application, linking farmers, the state, enterprises and banks, and attracting investment. The work requires identifying ownership of assets on land, and extending loan periods for enterprises.
Aside from agriculture, deputies also voiced their opinions on GDP growth targets, poverty reduction, social welfare, education, health, mining, and environment pollution.
