Czech President wraps up state visit to Vietnam

VTV.vn - President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman and his spouse concluded their three-day State visit to Vietnam on June 8 at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang.

At the meetings with Vietnamese leaders, both sides spoke highly of positive growth of the two countries’ traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation over a history of 67 years of official relations.

They lauded the maintenance and strengthening of high-level political dialogues as well as the exchange of delegations between ministries, agencies and regions of the two countries. They also showed great determination to enhance cooperation relations in the fields of mutual interests.

They expressed their delight at the signed Treaty on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons and the Agreement on Cooperation in Combating Crime.

Both sides were satisfied with the signing of seven Memorandums of Understanding between the following partners: Optokon Group and Sinh Phuc Technology Systems; Drevojas and Hao Canh Porcelain Production and Trading; East Sea Travel & Air Service Group and Indovina Bank; ClineX and Dapharco; Techniserv Group and Yestech; Na Homolce Hospital and Vietnam Friendship Hospital; and Vari Jsc. and James Boat Technology Jsc.

They also reached a consensus on intensified cooperation in agriculture, science-technology, environment, energy, education-training, culture, tourism, justice and law, among others.

They agreed to promote the exchange and mutual support on international and regional issues of mutual interest and pledged close coordination at international and regional forums and organisations, especially at the United Nation, the World Trade Organisation, the Asia-European Meeting (ASEM).

The two leaders said that they would consider supporting each other’s candidacy for membership in international organisations and forums. They committed to maintaining peace and stability as well as promoting marine security and safety and freedom of navigation and overflight in the East Sea.
