Quiet Wings is a song written by Senior Lieutenant Nguyễn Linh from the Vietnam People’s Air Force ensemble. He wrote the song for his fallen comrades, and naturally, it has become the theme song of a musical project of the same name.
"With all our hearts, we’d like to express our deepest gratitude towards the soldiers who have protected our nation, not only in times of war but also in times of peace." - Host Phan Anh.
"No matter what happens, all of us, people of Vietnam, believe that their images will live on forever in the hearts and minds of the living." - People's Artist Thanh Hoa.
Singer Minh Quân is one of the initiators of this project, which includes making a music video for the song. On his personal page, he had called for not only his friends, including professional singers, hosts, models, and actors, but also everyone in every industry everywhere to participate in the project, singing together for the dead and missing crew.
"In the lyrics, there is a sense of generosity, a love for the nation, and the pride we feel towards the contribution of the soldiers to the nation. I think that’s the message I want to spread around, so that everyone in our country can feel them, love and be proud of our soldiers." - Singer Minh Quan.
The music video for Quiet Wings is produced as a token of gratitude towards the pilots who have recently sacrificed their lives, and a condolence from millions of Vietnamese to their families. To date, singer Minh Quân has received thousands of responses to his call and nearly 300 people have registered to sing in the music video. These numbers alone speak volumes about how much love and admiration Vietnamese people have towards them, the soldiers who died while maintaining peace in the national sky.
