The event will feature pavilions in a total area of 1,000 – 1,200 square metres, introducing products of various industries, products in the One Commune – One Product (OCOP) programme, traditional handicrafts, food services, essential goods and specialities.
Acting Director of the Hanoi municipal Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan said the opening ceremony kicked off a series of stimulus activities, attracting consumers to visit and shop.
Joining the event, all enterprises have provided discount programmes and promotions of 30% - 100%, along with many promotional forms, creating an exciting shopping festival for consumers.
On this occasion, many events, fairs and exhibitions will continue to be held to stimulate domestic consumption and accompanying businesses to recover their production and business activities. The highlights will be “Cashless Day” (which is scheduled for July) and “Hanoi in Sleepless Night” (which is scheduled for November).
These are important activities in stimulating domestic demand and restoring production and business, contributing to boosting socio-economic development following the COVID-19 pandemic.
By the end of June, the Hanoi municipal Department of Industry and Trade received about 5,000 promotional registrations from participating enterprises with a total promotional value of over 8 trillion VND.
“Hanoi Sales Promotion” will last until July 12.
