Accordingly, 6 local fishermen have been confirmed to be eligible to borrow money from banks to build new fishing vessels, including 3 iron-covered ships, 2 wooden boats, and 1 composite vessel. The Quang Ngai people’s committee urged local commercial banks to actively assist these fishermen in accessing loans faster. Government’s Decree 67 provides basic policies to boost fishery development, including supporting fishermen in building high-capacity, iron-covered ships designed for offshore fishing.
