In Thanh Hoa province, torrential rains have submerged about 1900 houses, and damaged some roads, irrigation, and transportation works.
Downpours have also submerged over 5,000 hectares of rice and vegetable crops. The total damage has been valued at around 15mil USD.
The heavy rains have also caused the water levels of many rivers in the province, including Buoi and Ma, to rise over the past few days. According to provincial authorities, the current situation is still unstable.
