These animals had been handed over to the national park by the local people after public appeals. They include 2 Stump-tailed monkeys, 10 Indochinese box turtles, and 2 Asian palm civets. Since the beginning of this year, the Rescue Center in Phong Nha Ke Bang National park has received and successfully rescued 105 wild animals, and released 46 back into their natural habitats. This has contributed to the biodiversity conservation of the Phong Nha Ke Bang world heritage site.
