The Ministry of Home Affairs called for all officials to donate at least a day's wages to help the victims. After the Ministry of Planning and Investment called for donations on October 21, 400 million VND was donated in the morning. The Ministry of Construction collected 1.3 billion VND for donations while the Construction Union collected 3 billion VND in donations. The Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs also raised 100 million VND to support the victims.
