Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh is leading a delegation to visit Pu Trang Ward and Phuc Son Towns - two of the worst affected localities. Deputy PM Binh sent the government’s heartfelt sympathy to the victims and their families. Furthermore, he praised efforts by Yen Bai to overcome the consequences of the past few days. Deputy Prime Minister requested that Yen Bai Province accelerate flood damage control efforts.
The historic flood in Yen Bai caused 22 people to die or go missing. More than 1,200 houses have been affected, 70 of which have been washed away, leaving 400 families homeless.
