The Malaysian Embassy in Vietnam has issued is preliminary conclusion on an anti-dumping investigation related to cold rolled steel products imported from Vietnam, which was published on January 22, 2016 by Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
Malaysia started the investigation on August 27, last year. The investigation agency found China, South Korea and Vietnam guilty of dumping, with Vietnamese products set to face an increased tariff rising from 4.58% to 10.55%. Malaysia decided to apply anti-dumping duty based on the dumping margin to protect its domestic steel sector. Final conclusion will be issued within 120 days from January 25, this year.
