Longest cross-sea bridge in Vietnam to be inaugurated

VTV.vn - The Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Bridge, the longest cross-sea bridge in Vietnam, will officially become operational on September 2nd, National Independence Day.

The 5.4km-long bridge is part of the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Highway project, which connects developing areas in the east of Hai Phong with Lach Huyen Port in the island district of Cat Hai.

It includes a main section that is 490 metres long, an access road with a length of 4.43 kilometres in the side of mainland Hai An District and another 519-metre long access road on the side of Cat Hai.

The Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Highway project has a total investment of 525.3 million US dollars, and began its construction in May 2014.
