Two highlights of the activities are a grand celebration to be hosted by Hanoi City on May 18, and a national symposium to be organised on May 5 by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Party Commission for Communication and Education, and Nghe An provincial authorities.
A television programme that will be broadcast live synchronously from five venues in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Nghe An and Dong Thap will take place on the evening of May 19. Jointly held by the Party Commission for Communication and Education and Vietnam Television, the programme will recount memories of beloved Uncle Ho.
An awards ceremony honoured best literary, artistic and press works popularising the ‘Studying and following President Ho’s ideology, morality and lifestyle’ campaign and a programme praising the exemplary models who stand out from the campaign will also be held on May 13 and 17, respectively.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also planned various cultural and arts activities and sporting events to celebrate the occasion.
