This momentousevent commemorates the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the All People's National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024). Directed by the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the program is organized by the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Military Region 7.
The program will feature classic musical works, celebrated vocalists, a talented young ensemble, a symphony orchestra, and a 120-member choir. Over 500 artists, dancers, soldiers, students, and youth members from Ho Chi Minh City will perform on a grand multi-sensory stage. Enhanced by cutting-edge lighting, laser, and mapping technologies, Unforgettable Anthem 2024, themed For the People We Sacrifice, promises to inspire pride in the heroic 80-year history of the Vietnam People's Army.
This year’s symphony and art performance Unforgettable Anthem 2024 is a tribute to and celebration of the nation’s historical and revolutionary traditions. It aims to rekindle patriotic fervor in every heart and foster the enduring spirit of national unity. The program also highlights the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's Soldiers and the significant contributions of the heroic Vietnam People's Army to the revolutionary cause of the Party.
Program Unforgettable Anthem 2024 will be held at the Nguyen Hue - Le Loi intersection in Ho Chi Minh City. It will be broadcast live on VTV1 and VTV9 by Vietnam Television, Ho Chi Minh City Television, the Vietnam National Defense Television channel, and various local radio and television stations. The program will also be streamed live on several digital platforms.
