Such groups are popular in the southern region of Vietnam. People in this troupe earn their livelihood through cross-dressing performing and entertaining people.
The story line of the film revolves around the life of Lệ Liễu, the leader of Phù Hoa (Vanity Bingo) troupe. Lệ Liễu's real name is Đực (which means Male). Đực gets married like any other man. However, one day, he decides to leave his family and join the troupe so that he live true to himself.
The tragedy starts when his daughter joins the troupe and discovers her father there. The film will be screened on March 31st.
