The host proposed to Laos government to continue to create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Laos. He also asked for tax reduction for Vietnamese businesses that were damaged by fire at Dao Huong Market last month in Laos. He also thanked Laos for supporting Vietnam to overcome the consequences of drought and saline intrusion. At the meeting, the Laos legislator said he looked forward to promoting continued co-operation between the two ministries, as well as the solidarity between the two countries. The two sides also discussed the management of Mekong River water resources and border issues.
