VTV.vn - Vietnam’s efforts in combating Covid-19 were praised by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Both organisations hope that Vietnam will share its experiences with the international community. This statement was made at a meeting between the Ministry of Health, the WHO, and the U.S. CDC on Friday under the chair of Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam said that because Covid-19 is new and unpredictable, Vietnam has been learning new lessons and making adjustments in its measures. As the epidemic has changed, Vietnam has asked for feedback from the WHO and the CDC on its new solutions.

Sharing its experience, the Ministry of Health said that Vietnam has mobilized all resources, implemented on-site treatment, and utilized local resources, local quarantine, and local equipment. It has also strictly implemented isolation work in Sơn Lôi Commune, Bình Xuyên District, Vĩnh Phúc Province. As of currently, the commune hasn’t recorded any new cases of infection.
