VTV.vn - Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Public Security will resume visa requirements for South Korean citizens willing to enter Vietnam, starting from February 29th.

Those who fly from South Korea will have to be quarantined as per regulation. At the moment, 42 countries and territories have imposed restrictions for South Korean citizens. Vietnam has also raised alert levels for Italy and Iran, two other epidemic-hit countries.

The National Steering Committee on prevention and control of Covid-19 also required close coordination between medical units, airlines, and the army in the immigration procedure.

By the morning of February 28th, four airports in Vietnam received into quarantine more than 33,000 people including Vietnamese citizens, and South Koreans and other international visitors travelling from South Korea.

They are going to be interviewed and those who are not living or have not travelled to two virus-hit cities in South Korea will self-quarantine at home.
