In celebration of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20,1982 – November 20,2025), Vietnam Television (VTV) presented the live television program "In Gratitude 2025" on the evening of November 16, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training. This annual tribute event honors generations of educators who continue to serve and sacrifice for the nation's education system.
The programme was attended by Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, along with representatives from central ministries, organizations, and outstanding teachers from across the country.

With the theme “Lighting Up the Future”, the programme portrayed an emotional journey where every teacher represents a quiet flame spreading knowledge and hope. The show opened with a youthful mashup performance featuring “Bai ca nguoi giao vien nhan dan”, “Niem vui cua em”, and “Di hoc”, evoking memories of school and 80 years of Vietnam’s educational development.
The emotional stories began in Cao Bang, where preschool teachers from Thac Lam Kindergarten in Quang Lam commune, carried heavy packs of food across mountains and streams every day to provide nutritious meals for their students.
Teacher Luyen then took the stage to share her heartfelt reflections on her devotion to children in highland areas.
In Dak Lak, teacher Pham Thi Hong not only taught students but also travelled long distances to persuade families to let their children continue schooling. She nurtured “seedlings” like Vu Thi Sanh, who later returned to become a new mentor for younger generations.
The programme also featured educators who embrace innovation, such as Dr. Le Trong Duc, the creator of the “flipped classroom” model, and Truong Thanh Tung, a young scientist who turned down lucrative job offers abroad to conduct pharmaceutical research in Vietnam.
Dr. Duc’s flipped classroom model was recognized as an outstanding provincial-level initiative in 2024. Students study theoretical content at home through teacher-produced materials, while classroom time focuses on discussion, practice, and real-life problem-solving. The programme surprised Dr. Duc with an onstage reunion with his former Literature teacher, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hoa, highlighting the lifelong learning spirit that teachers themselves must embody.
Truong Thanh Tung is a lecturer at Phenikaa University and a leading researcher at the Phenikaa Institute for Advanced Studies. He represents a generation of Vietnamese scientists dedicated to creating medicine for societal well-being, in alignment with the national vision outlined in the 13th Party Congress.
The programme concluded with a performance of a medley of “Bai hoc dau tien” and “Thinh vuong Viet Nam sang ngoi”, delivering a message of gratitude, pride, and hope, as it celebrated a humane, creative, and globally connected education system, where every teacher shapes Vietnam’s future.
