On the morning of November 16, the outdoor studio at Vietnam Television was abuzz with excitement and urgency as the rehearsal for the upcoming program began. Since early morning, the production team from the Education & Feature Programs Department had gathered with artists, invited guests, and a large number of student performers, gathered to assemble stage setups, test lighting and sound, and run the program's full content flow.
This year, “In Gratitude” features the theme “Lighting up the Future”, honouring dedicated teachers who continue to nurture future generations of the country. The programme has been designed as an emotional symphonic storytelling format, comprising four movements: Dedication, Love, Creativity, and Aspiration. Each movement represents a real-life story filmed across many regions nationwide.
During the rehearsal, the performances by children and students created a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Songs dedicated to teachers and schools were performed in a simple yet emotional manner, combined with thoughtful stage arrangements, contributing to a warm highlight of the month of gratitude on November 20.
At the same time, the technical team and editors continued to review the feature reports that would appear in the programme. These stories were filmed in Cao Bang, Dak Lak, and Tay Ninh and portray teachers who work in remote and challenging areas. These teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also support their students through difficult life situations.
One story features a preschool teacher in Quang Lam commune (Cao Bang) who, every day, carries dozens of kilograms of food, crossing streams and climbing steep paths to provide her students with nutritious lunches. Another story highlights a Literature teacher in Dak Lak, who has quietly nurtured the educational dreams of Hmong children over many years. There are also teachers in Tay Ninh who strive to innovate learning methods through the “flipped classroom” model. Together, these stories create a deeply emotional portrait of devoted educators.
According to the production crew, each feature segment and performance has been meticulously prepared to deliver a warm and inspirational programme to audiences. This morning’s final rehearsal marked the completion of final adjustments before going live.
“In Gratitude 2025 - Lighting up the Future” will be broadcast live at 20:10 tonight (November 16) on VTV1.
Please stay tuned!
