Ho Chi Minh cirty prepares for coming floods

VTV.vn - Starting October 9th, Ho Chi Minh City is facing a level 3 risk of flooding.

According to forecasts of flooding in the southern regions, the water level downstream of Sai Gon- Dong Nai river station will increase in the next few days. The highest level recorded at Phu An yesterday afternoon was 1.63m. The level of water will remain high for the next 3 to 4 days.

The Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the city required departments, branches, and localities to implement plans to prevent and combat flooding.  For flooded roads, the local authorities need to set up warning boards and signs to ensure traffic safety.
