Heritage Boulevard is a completely new artistic program, produced by the Youth Program Department of Vietnam Television. Through the program, the audience will have the opportunity to visit (through the screen) many tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Vietnam as well as the world. The program is expected to be held annually, with the participation of major domestic and international art troupes.
Cultural heritages express the soul of a people. Each legacy is associated with the history and culture of a nation. Protecting the heritage is protecting national culture.
In 2019, the first digital Heritage Boulevard is be part of the program of the United Nations Day of Vesak (Buddha's Birthday) Celebrations at the Tam Chuc touristic area in Ha Nam province.
With a duration of 100 minutes of the program, the philosophy of compassion and goodness of Buddhism will be expressed through stories about heritage related to Buddhist culture and folklore. The program consists of 2 parts. Part 1 titled Vietnam - Buddhist Land for Thousands of Years, refers to the penetration of Buddhist philosophy into Vietnamese folk culture. In part 2, titled Heritage Boulevard, the audience will learn the stories about the heritages of Vietnam and those of some countries in the world.
Besides Vietnamese artists, the program also features the participation of many international art troupes from India, Bhutan and Indonesia.
The first episode of Heritage Boulevard will be broadcast live on May 12 at 20:10 on VTV1 channel.
