Haiphong promotes investment

The conference discussed the city’s key location in terms of infrastructure and the rolling out of favourable conditions for investors.

Projects under way include Haiphong International Gateway Port, Cat Bi International Airport, the Lạch Huyen to Tan Vu Bridge, and the Hanoi - Haiphong Highway. The Haiphong International Gateway Port is projected to be completed by 2017 and will be the largest deep water port in the north of Vietnam.

The port will connect Haiphong city via Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Bridge and is expected to process 30 million tonnes of cargo a year. Hải Phòng authorities have also made a commitment to continue administrative reform and apply single-window mechanism. The city will also support businesses with land clearance, administrative processes and tax incentives. The city intends to develop hi-tech and eco-friendly projects./.
