At the scene, the police arrested a suspect. German task forces have also been searching the station for victims and other gunmen.
Authorities have advised people to stay away from the central station and the Cologne cathedral, as investigation is being carried out. Spokesman of the police force said they are looking for 2 men and a women believed to have fled the scene on a car. The shooting occurred just days after a car crashed into a crowd on New year’s eve in two Western german cities, causing at least 8 people to be injured.
