As the first public institution in Vietnam to be equitized, the IPO of the Central Transport Hospital marked the beginning of big changes in the structures of hospitals and schools nationwide in the coming years.
For the first time, a public hospital was auctioned on the stock exchange. At the end of the auction, 5 million shares of the hospital had been sold, with an average price of 23,597 VND per share, 2.3 times higher than the initial price. Money raised from the IPO totaled 5.2 million USD.
