Organized by the European Union National Institute for Culture (EUNIC), the event is aimed at promoting cultural understanding between Vietnam and Europe. The festival attracts the participation of the U.K, Germany, France, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland and Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Each evening a European film and a Vietnamese film will be screened. Especially, interested people can watch an incredible documentary film namely “Amy” on June 12. The film directed by BAFTA award-winning Asif Kapadia, tells a story about English writer and songwriter Amy Winehouse who has won six Grammy Awards.
The Vietnamese documentary film named “Story of On June 7” will be introduced to local spectators on the day. The movie is about the late inspiring singer-songwriter Tran Lap, the front man of popular rock band “The Wall” with 21 years of formation and development.
In Hanoi, movies will be screened at the Central Science and Documentary Film Studio, 465 Hoang Hoa Tham Street and in HCMC at Lotus University, 8 Nguyen Van Trang Street, District 1.
