This demand even becomes higher during the dry season and the supply is not enough. That's why the EVN Southern Power Corporation has launched a campaign to encourage people to save electricity.
From 2014-2016, the EVN Southern Power Corporation supported dragon fruit growers in the three provinces of Bình Thuận, Long An and Tiền Giang to replace 2 million incandescent light bulbs with energy-saving ones. This has helped them save 3.64 million USD and has reduced 200,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
